Purging the capital gain by gift

Giving shares before selling them cancels the unrealised capital gain: the beneficiary will only be taxed later on the increase after the gift. Exception: for shares within article 163 bis H (managers’ gain), the gain is taxed in the donor’s name in the year of the gift.
